Veteran Tamil actor SN Lakshmi passed away in Chennai on Monday. She has acted in a number of Tamil films as mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, she has played close to 1000 films. She began her career way back in 1948 as a dancer in Chandralekha.As Urvasi's mother in Michael Madana Kamarajan or as Kamal's mother-in-law in Mahanadi or the old woman in Thevar Magan, she was everybody's favourite patti.
Lakshmi also has done many serials.
