Ban on Nitya Menon again

Kochi: Nitya Menon was issued a ban again. Following the ban by the Producers Association, the Film Distributors Association too imposed the ban this time. The Association has issued a circular not to distribute the films in which Nitya Menon had acted. General secretary of the Distributors Association Jose C Mundadan issued the circular to the members.

The recent ban is on Nitya's films Ustad Hotel and Bachelor party. She had earned the wrath of the producers association when a senior producer approached her on the sets of the movie Thalsamayam Penkutty in Thiruvananthapuram to sign her for his movie. However, Nithya was reportedly busy with the shoot and refused to meet the producer and forwarded him to her manager. The irate producer lodged a complaint with KFPA following which a ban was imposed on her.

Central Pictures, which has the distribution rights of Ustad Hotel, and the Exhibitors Federation affirmed that the movie would be released on time.
