New Delhi: Demanding withdrawal of service tax on the film industry, the Film Federation of India, has called for a one-day strike Thursday
The federation claimed that over 9,000 standalone movie theatres will remain shut Thursday. Multiplexes, however, will not be a part of the strike.
Kerala Film Producers' Association, Distributors' Association, Film Exhibitors' Federation, Cine Exhibitors' Association, AMMA and FEFKA too have come in support of the strike. The striking unions would stage their protest at Saritha Theatre premises, Kochi Thursday.
