Madhuri too to be immortalised in wax

London: Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit is the latest celebrity from Bollywood to make an entry in London's Madam Tussuads after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Tussuads said that they were thrilled to honour the "dazzling dancing star". The actress will be closely associated with the creation of her statue, which will be draped in a Manish Malhotra sari.

The actress joins the likes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor who have been waxed at Tussauds.

"I am really thrilled I am going to be included at Madame Tussauds. It's a real mark of achievement and to be recognised for ones art and work. It's also wonderful to be following in the footsteps of other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes! (sic)," Madhuri said in a statement.

The 44-year-old also tweeted saying, "Madame Tussauds made the announcement and I am confirming it. Will be in London in March to introduce my likeness! Thanks for all your support." The 'Dhak Dhak' girl dominated the industry for close to two decades with hits like 'Tezaab', 'Saajan', 'Khalnayak', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' and 'Dil To Pagal Hai'. The actress, who moved overseas after marrying doctor Shriram Madhav Nene, relocated to Mumbai recently with her husband and two kids.

"The decision to include Madhuri is set to delight Bollywood fans around the world as we are constantly inundated with requests to feature Madhuri. Her figure will make a stunning new addition to our Bollywood area which continues to grow in popularity every year. "The figure will cost 150,000 pounds to create and take a team of sculptors, hair, makeup and wardrobe experts four months to create," Tussads said in a statement
