Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran actor and comedian Jagathy Sreekumar said that he has acted in almost all roles of father, son, grandfather, beggar, minister, king, etc. He has acted in over hundreds of roles and now is utterly confused on what roles he has to enact. Now he has no more roles to play, admits Jagathy.
He was speaking at the annual day celebrations of the Garuda Kala Samaskara Samisthy, the cultural wing of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple staff union. When he was young, there were no encouragements of any sort but this present generation is encouraged a lot. The Malayalam film industry is loaded with male and female stars but the industry is devoid of creative stories and films, Jagathy said.
The cultural meet was inaugurated by minister P S Sivakumar. Executive officer of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple V K Harikumar presided over the meet. District collector M Nandakumar gave the keynote address.
Jagathy Sreekumar was honoured in the meet. President of the Garuda Kala Samaskarika Commitee president D Venugopal, G Jayashekaran Nair, Counsellor S Udayalakshmi, A Rajashekaran Nair spoke on the occasion. Prizes were given to the winners of various cultural meet by Jagathy.
