The Mathrubhumi - Kalyan Silks Movie Awards 2012 was given away on Saturday at a gliterring ceremony in Kochi. A galaxy of stars and prominent personalities from all walks of life gave colour to the award nite.Kalyan Silks chairman and managing director T S Pattabiraman gave away the best actor award to Mohanlal for his performance in 'Pranayam' while the best actress award to Kavya Madhavan was given away by Jayapradha for her performance in 'Gaddama'. Mohanlal presented the best director award to director Renjith for film 'Indian Rupee'.
Blessy's Pranayam won the best film award and the award was received by Blessy, P K Sajeev, Ann Sajeev from Siddique. The best lyrics award was presented to ONV Kurup by K J Yesudass.
